To the family of John R. Olson: I am so sorry to read about your Father’s passing. I just read the obituary this morning online. So sorry I missed coming to offer my condolences in person. I want to let you know that I worked with him at Ward Machine in Brockton as a bookkeeper for a few years and since he was my direct Supervisor I got to know him quite well. We made a good team in managing the financial aspect of the Company but much more importantly, we were fair in dealing with the Union issues as they emerged. I always felt that he was there when I needed him to be, yet critical of any unrealistic suggestion I might try to bring forth when it was not in the best interest of the workers. I am certain that you know how he cared for his family throughout his life. He will always be at your side and watch over you. I know that he has joined his loved ones where there is no suffering and where happiness is all that there is.
