Obituary For John N. Schjolden

John N. Schjolden, 49 died suddenly on April 13, 2015. He was born in Weymouth son of Warren Schjolden and Roberta (Davis) Schjolden and was raised and educated in Rockland. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1983.

John had worked with his father and served as Treasurer of Eagle Financial Services of Rockland and Norwell. Since 1999 he has been the owner and operator of Noble Properties in S. Weymouth as a Real Estate Broker.

He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Rockland and volunteered much of his time to their community fundraising efforts. He was admired by his large circle of friends.

In addition to his Dad who resides in Rockland and his Mom who lives in Southbridge he was the loving husband of Laurie L. (Knowles) Schjolden, he also leaves a brother David W. Schjolden of Boston, his Father and Mother In Law Richard and Marcia Knowles of Beverly his wife's sister Tina Knowles also of Beverly as well as three aunts, Vivian Ohlson of Plymouth, Suzanne Dunn of Kingston and Wendy Lawton of NH and several cousins. He was predeceased by his Mother In Law Virginia (Nardella) Knowles.

The Schjolden family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Private Funeral Service will be held. A reception and gathering will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Rockland Eagles Club, 29 Park St. Rockland at 1:00 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave. Waltham, Ma 02451-1115.

    It was funny when we found out that Johns middle name was Noble. You really couldn't make fun of it due to the fact that it actually fit him. He was a pretty good guy. R.I.P. John.

    John was a good friend of mind in high school. So many fun memories with our "Schjolden", many laughs, as we spent so much time together in our group of friends.     My thoughts and prays for John and his family. I guess you could say John was my first friend. Green street neighbors. I have many great memories of John and his mom and dad.     Tragic loss. I will miss John so much. It's hard to believe he's not with us. He was one of those unique individuals that made you laugh every time you were around him. We will keep his memory alive with millions of silly stories and events we shared with him that date back to our high school years and beyond. He left his special mark on so many of us.
