Dear Alice and Family, So sorry to hear of Uncle John's passing. We shared many a conversation in Mom's kitchen. He was such a kind and loving Uncle and Grand Uncle to my children John & Marianne. We missed Him so much after He moved back to the States.I know he is with His family in Heaven. What I remember most about Uncle John is His sense of humour & He and Mom would share stories about their growing up in Blooming Point. He would tell us the funny stories and they would both be laughing so hard about events that happened to them. My thoughts and prayers go out to You, Alice, Rose, Kay, John W. & Terri and to Your familles. Bertha Dennis Mount Stewart Prince Edward Island Canada.

I am going to miss uncle John, we used to have some great laughs during seniors day down at Shoppers Drug in Montague when I worked there with brother Joe. I also had a couple of late nights at the kitchen table with him and Dad on Prince Cresent when he was living in Peakes. I am sure you will have lots more laughs where your at. Rest in peace and Godspeed John

Our condolences are with you, Alice and family in this time of sorrow and loss. My earliest memories are of visiting Alice and John, when they lived on Spring Street- before going to the States. Later as a teenager when John and family came home to Grammies, when her and Smokey, lived on Gay Avenue, John was driving a green 1955 Dodge or Plymouth car. Funny the things that come to mind at a time like this. Be assured as you deal with the death of a husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him; that you are in our thoughts and prayer. Love to All, Joe and Dottie Affleck

Alice, Kay, Rose, Bill, Terry all your families I know that Uncle John has gone to his heavenly home in all its splendor; and I'm sure having a great time with his Mom, Dad and all his siblings and family who went before him. I also think it hurts alot for the family left behind to go on without him. I hope that through the sad and difficult times, your bond with each other and your memories will sustain you. I will pray for the day that the pain of loss will subside; and you will be able to go visit him in that very special place in your heart where he will always reside. He has touched so many lives during his time on earth; and will continue to guide us from above. We all have great memories of Uncle John. When I lived with Nanny I remember Nanny sitting in the kitchen on Friday nights waiting for John to call. He loved his family on earth; and now resides with his family in heaven. Sending lots of love from your family on P.E.I.
