Obituary For John F. Fife

FIFE John Francis of Whitman, passed away on June 30, 2024.
Devoted husband of 51 years, he leaves behind his cherished wife April Dawn (Johnson) Fife of
Whitman. John will forever be in her heart.

Loving father to his four children, Sandra Benotti of North Carolina, John Fife Jr. of Whitman,
Robert Fife of Whitman and James Fife of Rockland. Beloved brother of Roberta Lang, Lee
Fife, Jay Green and the late Debra Failla and Kelly Barker. He has 12 grandchildren and 7
great grandchildren. John was born in Chelsea to the late Phyllis and Robert Fife.

John proudly joined United States Marine Corp. bravely serving our Country in the Vietnam War
for 4 years. After he gained his degree as a Major Electrical Engineer. John was a trucker, he
loved being a trucker and did that for 50 years. John enjoyed spending time and sharing laughs
with his family and friends. He loved watching old cowboy shows. His kind and giving spirit will
be surely missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday July 10, 2024 from 4-7pm in the Magoun Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street Rockland, MA 02370. July 11, 2024 there will be an honorable military burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

    John, My brother and best friend! I will deeply miss you each and every day, the emptiness i feel each day is hard to ignore or fill as it is you that can only fill that space. Each day I find myself reaching for the phone to call you and then catch myself remembering you are not there to answer and it brings tears to my eyes that we will not be able to take rides together, get coffee, go out to breakfast or just talk! I know you you are in a good place now, no longer feeling any pain and that does provide me with comfort knowing you are no longer in pain and worrying about us. Rest Peaceful my Brother and remember all the good you have done in your life! God Bless America and God Bless You!
