Obituary For John F. Beary

John F. (Jack) Beary, lifelong resident of Rockland, MA passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2024 at the age of 95 yrs old

Jack is survived by 3 children, Faith Verrochio (Ron) of Venice Fl, John Beary (Karen) Kingston Ma, Matthew Beary (Debbie) Abington, Ma. Jack’s sister Mary Landry of Sandwich, Ma. 5 grandchildren, Joe Verrochio,Tabitha Dos Santos,Andrew Beary, Robert Beary and Elizabeth Ladogana. 5 great grandchildren, Andrew , Audrey, MaryAnn, Benjamin and Bailey. Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 56 years, Mary (Campbell) , his brother Richard of Rockland, Ma.

Jack was born in the family home in 1929 in Rockland, Ma. To Edmund and Elizabeth ( Gert) Beary. He was a lifelong resident of Rockland, graduated from Rockland High school in 1947. For a short time Jack worked for the original location of Stop & Shop on Union st before going into the Army. He always shared his fond memories of Stop & Shop and his infamous portrait of him sweeping the store! A family favorite. His service to our Country was 1951 to 1953. The stories and friendships he made along the way continued into many family chats, Grampy always had good stories to tell!

Jack married Mary (Campbell) 1955, making their home in Rockland, Ma He began working for Local 12 Plumbers & Pipefitters in Boston Ma. Over a period of time the coupled welcomed 3 children into their home and Jack set about teaching them the value of family. His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient but driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Both Jack and his wife Mary were phenomenal grandparents. They went to every sporting event, dance recitals, school plays and always created wonderful family memories with one on one attention and family vacations.

Jack was accomplished at his skill of plumbing and often spoke of stories about his dad in the plumbing industry also!

He was generous, witty and dedicated to his family, everyone loved Jack! Family will continue to always speak about Grampy (and Uncle Jack) with love and admiration. His beautiful legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
