John E. Maloney (Jack) passed away at his home at the Current in Weymouth on July 7, 2024. Jack was the cherished husband of Donna L. (Pierce) Maloney daughter of Robert and Senja Pierce, who predeceased him on December 22, 2023. The son of John L. and Dorothy (Doyle) Maloney, Jack was born in Quincy, MA on June 1, 1942. He attended the Mass Field Elementary School and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. While in junior high school Jack met his beloved Donna and they remained inseparable until the time of her death.

Jack was a life long salesman an occupation which was well suited to his affable and friendly personality. Donna served as an office manager and bookkeeperfor several accounting and law firms during her career which spanned forty years. Jack served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era and was a proud member of the American Legion, Elks and Moose Lodges where Donna participated in the Ladies Auxiliaries.

He and Donna had enjoyed their retirement moving to Port Charlotte, Florida where they had resided for the last fifteen years. They are survived by Jack’s brothers, Lawrence Maloney of Plymouth and Paul and his wife Carol Maloney of Abington. They are also survived by their nieces and nephews Donna Graber, Daniel, and David Keith and Deborah Lucas, Michelle Barry, John, Steven, Jeffrey, Ryan and Craig Maloney and their families.

Jack and Donna were predeceased by his sister and her husband Barbara and Murray Keith and their son Douglas Keith And his sister-in-law Jean Maloney.

Jack and Donna were a constant and welcomed presence in the lives of their family attending countless sporting events, dance recitals, weddings, Christenings and family celebrations always laden down with treats and favorite recipes to share. They truly were fans without measure and Donna never missed the opportunity to chronicle each event with wonderful photographs.

Jack and Donna will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered for their devotion to each other and for their willingness to champion the accomplishments of their loved ones. Their unwavering support and generosity of spirit will forever serve as an inspiration to the many whose lives were touched by their kindness.

Jack and Donna’s lives will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday July 24,2024 at 9 AM Holy Family Church 403 Union St. in Rockland, Immediately following will be a burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Buzzards Bay, MA 02542.
