To the whole Allo Family, John was a one of a kind type of guy, more concerned with others that himself, and that is very rare these days. Although his size commanded attention whenever he entered a room it was only to be dwarfed by the size of his heart. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.

To John's Family: We are so sorry for your loss. John & I were classmates from 7th grade on and I have great memories of classes together and tearing down our old barn for Prom. Then in later years Mike got to know Sam and Fran very well through business and his thoughts go out to Sam. Finally in the last few years I have got to know Laurie at Booster @ VUHS and she has kept me up to date on John and his family. We will miss John at our 30th reunion this summer, but we will play FreeBird and think of him. It was great to see him 5 years ago and share memories. We will miss you John.

To Patty and all of John's family, I am so very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family. But it seems like only yesterday we were cruisin'in his Nova or my GTO crankin' out The Beatles, tossin back a few brews and living life to the fullest in the 70's. Thinking that we were invincible and that life could be no better as we thought out our future and what life's path would bring to us. Then as we get older we all grow in our seperate ways and hope that we can live out those youthful dreams and find the love and happiness that John had found with his family. John was a very BIG part of my teenage years and even though we had grown apart as we have gotten older, there are certain names or songs that always bring me right back to those wonderful days of the 70's and know that he will be in my heart forever. John my friend, I will miss you......TABLE 17 lives on!

I am very sorry to hear of John's passing and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I graduated with John and we had many great times and lots of laughs. As the years go by you fall out of touch; everyone takes their own path. I was so glad John came to our last reunion. We caught up on the past 25 years. He talked about his family and how very proud he was of his kids. I am going to miss you John. God Bless You!

Oh, Patty, Mary, Susan and Samuel - I am so sorry to hear of John's passing (Bob Kirby called me just a few minutes ago to let me know). John was one of the first people I met at Holy Family, and was a good friend. He was such a big supporter of LifeTeen and the work we were doing with young people. I am glad to count him as a friend, and I will offer Mass for him and you all. Please let me know if I can help in any way, and may God bless you during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Allo family throughout this difficult time. Mr. Allo was an awesome person full of energy, and I will never forget the night he almost made me do the Hustle infront of my entire 8th Grade class during one of the dances at Holy Family School. He will never be forgotten

I graduated with John from Vergennes Union. He was passionate about basketball, academics (National Honor Society), and music (yes, KISS!). Come to think about it, he was passionate about everything life had to offer. I still laugh when I think of his sense of humor working on the school newspaper. He was a great friend, and I will miss him. -- Sheldon, Class of '78

I've known John ever since our kindergarten days... at the ripe ol' age of 5 we decided we'd get married when we grew up. This was the source of more than a few chuckles as teens (when we never even dated!). We shared many a class together. I shall always remember John's good humor, quick wit and ability to befriend a wide variety of people. I'm so glad we were able to catch up at reunion -- his crushing bear hug greeting will be a precious enduring memory. I extend my deepest sympathy to the Allo family and wish you strength at this difficult time. Sincerely, Cindy, Class of '78

To John's family, I worked with John when he was phasing out Bubble Music Man but had the joy of seeing him at Growth Unlimited pre-school a few years ago. He made the end of school year party fun and special. I also worked with him as part of south shore weddings and he was nothing less than professional, fun and a great guy to work with. I knew of his heart condition, but was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. My warm memories see you through this difficult time.

Dear Patty, I only just learned of John's passing from a fellow CSC student. I was shocked. He and I had emailed one another a few times early last year (after 25 years of silence!) but never kept in touch. I regret that now. I remember fondly and with nostalgia the SNL parody newscasts we had hosted as part of Bob Gershon's TV Production class. John was talented. You knew he was going to go far in the field- and he did. May God bless him and keep in his eternal care, and May God bless you and your family, Patty.

May 28, 2008 Just learned of Johns passing from the CSC newsletter. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I will always remember the sight of John behind the glass wall in the CSC radio station. At the time the mail room and radio station shared the downstairs of the student center. Peace be with you.

Hi Patty; We spoke yesterday after I too learned of John's passing from the Castleton Bulletin. John and I kept in touch over the years, but not enough. As his roommate at CSC, I probably knew him as well as anyone. We all had some good times then, and the few times we got together since, following our CSC days. Those times will always be remembered, as will John. Our sincerest condolences to you and the kids. God Bless. Tod and Mindy (Libby) Lyons

Patricia, Mary, Susan and Samuel, The days John came to visit us at Holy Family Rectory will forever be treasured memories. He was a kind and loving friend and as a member of our parish, always willing and helping us in one of his myriad ways. He was a very talented man! His love for his children, his little buddy Samuel who often accompanied him!)and the pride he felt in his wife were obvious to all who knew him. I know that each one of you struggled right beside John in your own way during this past couple of years of his declining health. God bless you for your great care of John. How helpless one feels to see such a wonderful man and his family suffer! I know that John is with God now and at total peace. His heart beats strongly and clearly for those whom he left behind. Never forget that he will always be there watching over you and loving you! His peace and place with God was well earned! However, he will be sorely missed here on earth! Please know that we are here for you. God bless you all, Anne Marie

I just tonight heard of John's passing & was shocked to find he left this world back in 2007. My family met John back in the 80's when we had him play for our parents 50th anniversary. He was wonderful to us even going to the work of locating the song "Indian Love Call" which I found out later was not a easy task. But he did not disappoint us! He did many functions for our family including my husband & my renewal of vows after I had cancer in April of 2002.He once again played my parents song for them. He told me he had only played it one other time for someone else & it was as a joke. But for my folks it was a true love song. On that day I once again saw my mom (who was bedridden by then & had been brought by ambulance to our renewal)sing "their song" to my dad (who had tears in his eyes) & saw the love between my folks as if they were still 2 teenagers in love instead of having been married for 64 years. I lost my dad 2 1/2 months later unexpectedly to cancer & my mom just under 2 years later. John was able to give me & my family a memory we will treasure forever. The last time we saw John he helped us give my nephew a going away party before leaving for Iraq. He was very sensitive to our needs every time & made each & every occasion a success. I can not express how much sadness I have for your loss. I know this is a very late condolence to you & your family & I apologize for that however I felt I needed to pay my respect for a person who touched so many lives in my family & gave us so many memories. In Sympathy The Towne/Bousquet family
