John A. Cassani, of Rockland, February 28, 2007 Age 69. Husband of Asunta L (Tanzi) Cassani. Father of Lisa M. Cassani-Robitaille of Berkley and Janice L. Mulligan of Hanson. Sister of Marion Cassani of Quincy. Grandfather of Nicole L. Robitaille, Daniel J. Mulligan and Julia R. Mulligan. A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Saturday, March 3rd at 8:15 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in Holy Family Church at 9:00 AM. Calling Hours were on Friday, March 2nd from 4-8 PM. Mr. Cassani died at his home in Rockland, surrounded by his family after a period of failing health.He was born in Quincy, son of the late Mario and Cesidia (Celucci) Cassani and was raised and educated there. John has made his home in Rockland for the past 46 years. A registered pharmacist, he was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. John was formerly employed at Brooks Pharmacy in Rockland and later owned his own business Cassani Town Pharmacy in Rockland for several years. He retired in 2001 after working for the Stop and Shop Company in their Hingham location for 10 years. Mr. Cassani loved music and greatly enjoyed playing the guitar. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
