Joanne B. Gerjets (Burke-Murray)

November 8, 1947- December 18, 2024

Rockland MA- Joanne Gerjets passed away at her home at age 77. Daughter of Anne W. (Burke) and Louis J. Murray, she was predeceased by her husband Jerry J Gerjets. Joanne, for many years worked in office operation at Davis Military Uniform Manufacturing in Brockton, subsequently did office work for Freeman Decorating and Fidelity.

As a couple, Joanne and Jerry took great pleasure for many years camping and boating, and traveling to recreational and historic destinations throughout the USA and New England. In particular, they enjoyed participating in and organizing trips. As long-time members of the Mystic Valley Railway Society, Joanne organized and led many group events.

Joanne will rest with Jerry at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rockland. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in her name at the Chapel of the Sisters of Charity in the MT St Vincent/St Elizabeth Seton Center in Wellesley, Massachusetts at a date to be determined.
