All my memories of Joan are wonderful--flying over the Alps on our way to Sicily, her taking pictures of all her meals in Sicily so she'd reember them, getting repeatedly lost in Scottsdale, having dinner with Elaine and Joe, and the wonderful lunch we had at the Tucson El Conquistador--where Joan said she ate the best sandwich she ever had (I'm sure there's a picture of it) and how she held one of the baby chicks that were walking around the patio, going to Florida with Joan and Marie--watching the sunset on Bonita Bay Beach. How she loved politics--and yes I thought the feds might show up at her door some day. Joanie championed the underdog and was passionate about her beliefs. She was devoted to her family and loyal to her many friends. I will miss laughing with her. To say she was sui generis would be an understatement. My thoughts and prayers are with Lee and all of Joan's family.

I will never forget Joan's laughter echoing through the hallways of Hill & Barlow. Joan always made me laugh out loud. She was one of the funniest people I have ever known and I am so saddened to hear of her passing. She loved her sons, family and friends with a passion. My condolences to Lee, your family and Joan's dear friends on the loss of this wonderful lady.

I had the pleasure of working with Joan for many years at Hill & Barlow. I too can recall Joan's distinctive laughter still ringing in my head. A quick wit and ready smile, Joan was always fun to be around. Fortunately, I even had the opportunity to see Joan in action at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in June 1994. My deepest sympathy to Lee and the rest of Joan's family. She was a great lady and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Although it has been a while since I last saw Joan, and more than ten years since I last worked with her at Hill & Barlow, I can hear her awesome laugh clearly and the NY accent that she never lost... My condolences to Lee and all of Joan's family; I know how important you were to her - I remember that she always talked about her sons, brothers and mother in the days when I worked (in between talking and laughing), with Joan at H&B.

Joan was a very kind and caring person and had a keen sense of humor.Oh what hot political newsletters she would send. Never knew if a government agency would show up at my door. We shared many laughs and good days. I loved Joan and will miss her. Best wishes to Lee and all the family members that grieve for her.

Joan was such a fantastic sister-in-law and so much fun to be with. For many years, Joan would come out to Vegas while Jerry and I were there for a trade show. One year, both her and Tom where out there and she hit the jackpot several times in a row on the roulette wheel. The next day we were soaking it up at the Hard Rock Cafe in the owner's poolside cabana! The whole day was a rockin' good time. We will miss her so, so much....Marian

Joan and I were girlfriends from the time we were 14 years old. We shared so many good times and sad times, but we did laugh and have a great deal of fun together. I loved her strong political opinons and any times we did not agree, but it didn't hurt our friendship. We will miss her so much and our hearts and prayers go out to her entire family. She will be missed by all. Love, Andy and Claire
