Obituary For Jeanne A. Tweed

Jeanne A. (Reagan) Tweed, 81 of Rockland died on December 22, 2015 at her home. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Maloney) Reagan.

She was raised and educated in Rockland, graduating from Rockland High School in 1951. She later attended the former Chandler Secretarial School in Brockton. Jeanne was a longtime employee of the former Rockland Savings Bank. She began as a teller and retired in 1988 after 32 years as a Vice-President of the bank.

She worked as a voting registrar in the Town of Rockland for more than 40 years.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 54 years Allan L. Tweed. She also leaves a sister Marion and was the aunt of Linda Maynard and Bob Gorrill of NH, Kevin Tweed of Hanover and Bruce Pratt of Wellesley.

The family celebrated her life on Saturday, December 26, 2015 in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. Burial followed in Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman.

    Dear Allan, I've just learned about Jeanne's passing. She was such fun to talk to! I looked forward to seeing her whenever I went up to vote. Each time we met, it was like we just picked up where we'd left off our last conversation. She always asked after my mom-Addie Lelyveld. I'm so grateful to have called her friend. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

    Dear Alan So sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing. I remember Jeanne from Payson Avenue when I was just a kid. She was always so friendly and eager to hear all about my family.
