Obituary For Jean L. Start

Jean L. Start 65 of Pembroke died on April 7, 2012 at the South Shore Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born in Brookline, daughter of the late George and Mary (Campbell) Olson. She was raised and educated in Braintree graduating from Braintree High School in 1964. She later went on to graduate from the School of Modern Design in Boston.

Jean worked for several years as a children's clothing designer for The Carters Company. She also previously worked for the Tumbleweed Quilt Shop in Pembroke, and Pearl Smith of Hanson.

She is survived by her Husband Frederick S. Start Sr. Mother of Jennifer M. Start of Taunton, and Wallace C. Start of Pembroke. Sister of Georgie Duquet of NH, and her twin sister, Judith Olsen of Cambridge.

The Start family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Jean's life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 4:00 7:00 PM.

    I'll always remember Thanksgiving at your house.......us kids playing bumper pool upstairs, coming down to eat those yummy hor's d'orves and the joke that flew around the table, with wonderful coffee after a wonderful meal!!!!!!!! I have passed the recipe for those famous mushroom puffs , and my daughter Nicole now makes them EVERY year, and passed it along to her fiances family. WIll miss you .........hugs to all that greet you on your peaceful Journey! God's speed
