Obituary For Jean A. Curran Traverse
Jean A. (Paton) Curran Traverse, 84 of Halifax, died at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Facility on June 22, 2018 after a period of failing health. She was born in Arlington, Daughter of the late Robert and Rubina (Bruce) Paton.
Mrs. Curran Traverse was the long time Proprietor of her family's business, The Hutcheon's Flower Company in Abington. Jean was a beloved Wife, Mother, Granny, GREAT granny, Great Great Granny, Daughter, Sister, confidant, and friend. She was a very passionate woman who took great joy in her family, friends, faith, music, dancing, and singing.
Jean was the Mother of Thomas Curran and his Wife Cheryl of Abington, Leslie Stinson and her Husband Steve of Whitman, Robert Curran of Whitman, Jo Anne Fernandes and her Husband Dan of Plymouth, Deborah Brown and her Husband Ned of Halifax, Mark Curran and his Wife Crissi of Hull, and Christopher Curran of Halifax. Sister of the late Roberta Young and her Husband Frank. Also survived by 19 Grandchildren, and many Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grand Children, Nieces, and Nephews. Jean leaves behind her closest and dearest friend Roberta Curran of Weymouth.
The Curran Traverse, family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Jean's life from 10:00-12:00 PM on Wednesday June 27, 2018 in The Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland MA 02370. A Funeral Home Service will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at the conclusion of visitation. Burial will follow in The Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. My thoughts are with all of you. Joanne,Debbie,Leslie,Bobby,Mark and Chris.Aunt Jean was always kind and attentive to me. We all had so much more contact with each other when we where young. Love to all of my cousins. I still remember.
