Obituary For Janet P. Dwyer
Janet P. (Callahan) Dwyer, 73 of Rockland died at her home on October 10, 2009 surrounded by her family and cared for by Old Colony Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Ola (Murphy) Callahan and was raised and educated in S. Weymouth. Janet was very proud to have graduated from Massasoit Community College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She had been a longtime Hanover and Brockton resident and most recently resided for the past 8 years in Rockland.
For several years she served in many capacities at Catholic Charities of Greater Brockton including working in their clothing thrift shop and assisting in the meals program.and prison outreach ministry. She enjoyed bowling and in her younger days she participated in leagues at Timber Lanes in Abington.
Janet was the wife of the late Thomas L. Dwyer and is survived by her sons Kerry T. Dwyer of NY, Thomas L. Dwyer of PA, Frank H. Dwyer of Brockton, Jeffery Dwyer of Avon and her daughters Laura Dwyer. Potteiger of Naples, FL. and Lisa M. Dwyer of Brockton. She was also the mother of the late Lynne A. Cameron and the sister of Thomas R. Callahan of Manomet, June Minicucci of Braintree and the late Vera Butler. She was the Special Grams to Hugh and Kevin Cameron, Stephen, Sarah, and William Pike, Meaghan Perkins, Eileen, Joe, Allison, Brittany, Courtney, Tiffany, Daniel, Christopher and Thomas Dwyer, Erin Monoco, Mark and Lyndsey Todaro, Stephen Pike II, and Daniel and Jeffery Barron, and great grandmother to Alec Martinosy, William Pike and Abigail and Lauren Monoco.
Rev. Gordon Postill will officiate at a Funeral Service that will be held will be on Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND. After cremation, burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Scituate. Calling hours will be on Tuesday October 13, 2009 from 5-8 PM
Memorial Donations in her name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368

To Kerry,Jeff,Tommy,Frankie,Laura,Lisa, YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU ALL, I will miss my Aunt Janet,not just one thing,many things,I will never forget all the great Cristmases from when we were little kids to big kids.I will miss all the holidays we have been spending together as adults.I will miss her great cooking and baking and I will miss her just being the great Aunt that she is.I imagine her and LYNNE are baking some bannana bread right now and getting Uncle Tom a beer!! Janet was the only grandmother I grew up knowing. I loved her very much and still think about her. I miss her very much, and I think about the times spent with her. I will forever have you in my heart grandma, I love you.

we were neighbors 1953-58 sharing the births of our children my mark,paul and elaine. Janet's kerry, jeffrey,tommy and lynne. sorry we lost touch over the years but thought about her many times. she was a lovely person and a good friend. love phyllis
