I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I knew Jim over the years and always enjoyed his company. Being in construction made it so Jim and I would share stories and ideas, Jim had great ideas and was a very smart guy. When it came to life safety and fire sprinklers Jim was a class act . He took great care to make sure his systems were right . He took great pride in his work as well as his family. I got involved in the Glen st project and Jim always went out of his way to stop in and say hello and ask if I needed anything. I will always remember that and will miss our visits and talks! My condolences to his entire family.

Such sadness in all out hearts that were close to Jim. As an older generation of remembering this addition to the family on Glen Street. Tight quarters in the Glen Street apartment of stuffing Auntie Ann, Uncle Jim, Marilyn, and baby Jim into one bedroom till their new house was built. The long five hour trip to Rockland before the state highways were built arriving to see family, and the overly energetic little boy tearing through the house. Years of being together to share stories, plan gatherings, and simply sitting around the kitchen table sipping coffee with spreads of food were priceless. Those memories will forever remain in my heart. Jimmy God has taken you too soon and the reason for this I'm struggling for an answer. Your pain has ended, but our hearts are torn.

So sorry for your loss. I never met Jim but hearing Tracey speak so lovingly of him I can only imagine the loss you are all feeling. I hope that all the memories help you through this difficult time

  • 05/25/2021

Lynne, Bob and I were deeply saddened to hear that Jim had passed. We all will remember the good times we had. He will be forever in our hearts. We both know the pain that you and your family are going through and only wish we could ease that pain. You have many friends and family that are here for you. Reach out and let us help you through this very difficult time. We will cherish the time we had with him, on the bikes or at a party. Love to you and your family and may God bless you all.

I remember as a child being at my second Aunt's house at the pool and on the sun room addition on Glen Street and visiting with my 2 second cousins, Aunt, Uncle and enjoying my time there, their company, and love and feeling part of the family. As a child, the memories I hold dear and Jim and his sister and Mom and Dad figure prominently in that time and happy thoughts and memories past. Sometimes I hear a blue jay, or smell the scent of pine trees ,and it brings back to that time and place, and while I did not get much of a chance to know Jim personally , I am proud to know and call him family member...peace be with you and the rest of our family. I used to babysit for cousin Jim. Even as a baby, he had gorgeous eyes with a mischievous twinkle I don't think he ever lost. He was always quick to laugh. When I was in college, I used to drive home on weekends sometime just to watch Star Trek with Jimmy -- my mother and Annie both thought we were nuts! Well, Jim, you get to steer the Starship Enterprise now. Lynne and kids, Marilyn and family -- 2013 has been a cruel year and this hurts so much. Please know that Paul, Deborah, David and I are so deeply saddened by Jim's passing.

I couldn't begin to share all the memories.. there were so many.. Jim was like a brother to me. Probably my favorite times were the Sunday morning breakfast at Millie's and then all of us jumping on the bikes for a Sunday ride or a poker run. I remember one time, we were coming through Canton and the road had been all dug up for repaving and they had that nasty graded asphalt.. It was pouring rain and I was a major coward when it came to riding in the rain.. so everyone else was way ahead of me .. except Jim.. he rode side by side with me at 25 mph until we hit pavement a mile later.. He used to transpose my name and call me beD .. and I called him miJ .. Parties at the Carey house or parties at the Gelsi house.. all were a hoot and Jim was the life of the party no matter where it was. lol.. even at my wedding.. Lynne and kids, he loved you with a passion .. his family were his heart and soul. I will miss you miJ. Rest in peace.. My hugs and love to all of you.

You know Jim, I don’t think the people who will live on Glen Street from this time forward will ever know what a unique time and place that it was, a time of cousins growing up together and family being your best friends, the people you depended on, and sometimes, fought with. For all of the love and laughter and pain and sorrow and countless, yet now half-visible memories that get us through our days as we get older, that place in time with be forever unique, known only to us and maybe those lucky, perceptive ones who can sense our spirit there. Thank you for being there and being my brother. Our hearts and our sympathies go out to the entire family. Love, Cousin Gary

I have tried writing this for the past half hour and have decided to just type and hit send. I have done nothing else the last couple days but thing of all the "good" times we had together seems like too many years ago. I am sorry that we lost touch and did not remain in contact. Seems like yesterday we watched you and Lynne get married, buy your first house and be so excited over our babies. I will always be honored to say that Jim is my son's Justin godfather. I smile thinking back to high school days and Jim sitting at the "other" table in the cafetaria and I would always be the rebel and join him, I was supposed to be in the clique but really never stuck to those rules! You will be missed by so many and heart aches for Lynne, your beautiful children and everyone else that you touched in your too brief life. Will always love you, Priscilla (Heldman) Reardon

I'll never forget his generosity, his knowledge and his know how. He was smart as a whip and tough as nails. He's one of the few men in life who would give you the shirt off his back or a smack upside the head, depending on which you asked for. I will miss our conversations about life on Glenn Street, politics and religion. He was always so proud of his family and loved to tell about them all. His stories will run through my mind forever and I will always cherish the gift he made for me up north. So sorry to hear of your passing and so much regret for not seeing you more often. Save some stories for me in heaven Jimmy. We love you and miss you already.

  • 05/25/2021

Marilyn, for years we 'watched Jimmy grow up' as you said just the other day. How quickly those years go by. I have been a part of your family since we were 12 years old and it seems like yesterday we were all so young. I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He braved the hardest storm and is now on the other side of it. Hopefully dancing with all who have gone before us, parents and friends. Lots of love, hugs, and kisses.

  • 05/25/2021

Lynne, Adam, Jake and Kayla: Our hearts are broken for you. Family gatherings just won't be the same without Jim and his "stories"! May your memories ease your pain. We love you all very much and will always be here for you.

Rock on in Heaven Jim. My parents will be there greating you to party with RIP We love you and miss you.

  • 05/25/2021

Missing you so already, little brother. Although you were younger, you were always one I looked up to!! Your personality, intelligence and love of family was to be admired. You have passed on those qualities to your three wonderful children and your influence is a piece them forever! We will all watch over your angel, Lynne, as she did you. RIP ... no more pain

Words cannot express how sad I am. Lynne, Adam, Jake, Kayla, Marilyn, Glenn St. gang and everyone else who had the great pleasure of knowing Jim. This has been such an incredible journey, one of the saddest in my life. I will miss Jim and his booming voice, his quirky sense of humor and his incredible wisdom. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, friend. "Jim and Lynne" thats was always the way it was. When I tell people about "Jim and Lynne" I tell them the special bond between them that is so very rare and special. When Lynne looked at Jim, it was like she was looking at him for the very first time, always. I have such great memories of our friendship and raising our kids together, our camping trips, backyard barbecues, holiday parties, the list goes on and on. These memories will be with me forever. Thank you Jim for letting me be a part of your family and for being my friend. Lynne, Adam, Jake and Kayla, I love you all and I will always be here for you. Love Marcia

Lynne, Adam, Jake and Kayla, please know that we're all sending you all our love, now and in the months and years ahead.

Dear Lynne and family, Kathy and I send along our sincerest condolences. We share your loss of a husband, father, and wonderful person we so loved and admired. Jimmy, we're going to miss you. The laughter, the conversations, the yelling we did when we were figuring out how to solve all the worlds problems "our way", which of course inarguably was the best way. Thank you for sharing good times with us through the years. Rest in peace our cousin, our brother.

  • 05/25/2021

  • 05/25/2021

Dear Lynne, Although we met under such sad circumstances I feel as if I have known you and Jim forever. You were so supportive of me during David's illness and passing. It is amazing to me that one night in a hospital four people met and left such a lasting impression on each others hearts. I will never forget Jim's courage and strength while facing his illness head on. I know that you and Kayla, Adam and Jake were the best support system that anyone could ask for. The next few days will be a complete blur as your family and friends struggle to get through them. When the time comes to reflect quietly on his life and death you will gain the strength to go on from him. He will always remain in your hearts for you and your children gave him the strength and courage he needed to pass on to heaven. I know from that one brief meeting that you all loved each other very much. He was a good man and you are a good woman. I wish you and your children love and peace in the coming days, weeks and months. I am here for you if you need me.
