James J. Sheehan

February 16, 1961 – September 19, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James J. Sheehan. Jim passed away at Spaulding Rehab on September 19, 2025 at the age of 64 following alengthy illness. He was the son of the late Wiliam and Rita Sheehan (York) of Dorchester, until moving to Rockland many years ago. Jim was a genuine, easy-going man with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to know him.

Jim recently retired after 40 years with WB Mason Co proudly driving the Mason’s truck out of Boston and Brockton. He was once a part of the Knights of Columbus Softball team and won the Championship with many great friends. Jim was a dedicated New England sports fan and most passionate about the Bruins.

Jim loved to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. He always had the best outfits/attire and plenty of shenanigans. He was always the life of the party and loved being the center of attention until he was done.

He is survived by his fiancé Shannon Creney of Rockland, his siblings Rita Burke and her husband Rick of Rockland and William Sheehan of Rockland. His children Lindsayand Timothy Sheehan, stepsons Anthony, Brian and Derekand his six grandchildren. Also surviving are his many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his sister Carol Sheehan and bother Robert Sheehan.

We would like to express our gratitude to Spaulding Rehab in Cambridge for all the incredible care he received while there.

The family welcomes friends and family to celebrate his life on Monday, September 29, 2025 at a funeral mass at Holy Family Parish, 403 Union St., Rockland, MA at 9:00 am. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery.
