Jim was one of the kindest and understanding people we have ever met. He loved the simple pleasures in Life- Family,Friends, Animals, Gardening, Laughter and of course a Beer ot Two. He gave so often and never asked for a thing in return. I remember each Spring we would ask him to make the trip to Norwell to Rototill the Garden, Each time we would have a few beers and catch up on Life! I always said that he should come over for a nice Steak Dinner and he said yes he would love to. He loved Children and they loved him, eventhough he never had his own he had many in his life and he was so good to them . May you Rest in Peace in Heaven! Melissa, Andrew and Kelsey

Takes a great person to rescue and take care of greyhounds. Jim was always there for his neighbors. He was always friendly and always had a smile on his face.I will miss him and was happy to have known him. ( Hank) Walked past (with our dog) Jim in his yard almost every day but never got to really know him. Just a friendly wave. Watched him in action helping others out with his equipment. Snow, etc. You will be greatly missed! God bless. (Joan)

Jim, you were a great person and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew you. Thanks for always being there when I needed you! You were a big asset to our family and wish you were still here. Your unconditional love for everyone and your animals made you a very special person. You were so smart with mechanical things, the "go to person" when needed to know how it works or to fix it! You will always have a special place in our hearts "Jim". May you rest in peace Jim, and hope you are with all yours that passed before you, Mom, Dad, Sparky, Bozo, Daisy, an Sandy. Love you Jim!

My heart just hurts. A part of my life is gone. Went through my childhood photo album last night & it brought both a smile to my face & a tears to my eyes. Jim was a huge part of my life since I was a little girl & knowing I'm not able to see him, hear his voice or laugh anymore truly hurts. This week has been one of the hardest things I've had to do. I never thought I'd be sitting & planning a funeral for my Step Dad Jim. He was taken far too soon. Granted I still have my Dad who means the world to me so I mean no disrespect to him but Jim was a huge part of almost my entire life. I was fortunate to have those 2 men who I loved with all my heart & who both loved me back. Till we meet again "my big gentle giant" I wish it were all a bad dream. I will forever hold all of my memories close to my heart. I love you Jim! xoxo

We are grieving deeply with the loss of our friend jim who had become a part of our life over the past 20 or so years. We meet Jim through our best friends, Robin and Jim Murray. We will always hold close to our hearts all the times we all spent at the home of the Murray's with jim and neighborhood friends when we visited back home. The many many laughters, talks, and great times we shared over the years. We will remember his smile, his hugs and kisses on the cheek, the handshakes , the reminiscing and enjoying a man who we were happy to call our friend. Jim you were loved and respected by so many. You were a caring and passionate person and your memory will live on in our hearts for as long as we live.I hope we can all find peace in remembering the wonderful person, neighbor, and friend that you were to us all, and for all the good times we shared. May you rest in peace my firend until we meet again.

I have many great childhood memories of growing up with Jim. He was a great guy and always a fantastic neighbor, particularly to my parents (and others) as they got older. Even though I have moved far away from our hometown I aways felt comfotable that my family was aways in good hands with great neighbors like Jim who looked out for them. My parents often told me the many things he did to help out the neighbors. May God Bless his family. May he rest in peace, he made the world a better place. Bobby Ellis, childhood friend and neighbor.

Jim was a great friend and always there when you needed him, we had alot of good times together, memories that I'll always cherish, one of our adventures was to go confront WMEX DJ Jim Connors about bad mouthing RHS Bulldog Basketball heading into the 1972 Tech Tourney, Jim & I skipped school, went to WMEX Studios and confronted Connors, he then agreed to come to RHS and apologize, which he did over the school PA system. Of course, we got into hot water with A. Scott afterwards, great memories!!! The Real Gentleman Jim!!! Take Care my dear friend, they didn't come any finer than you!!!

I was very sad to hear, of a great friend who passed away. Jim worked at Polaroid, with myself and many many others who can say, Jim was without a doubt, one of the most outstanding guys ever. He was an expert in his craft, as well as his peronality, and kindness. You can count on him in any given situation. He was one of a kind. You will be missed, many hugs sent your way. Nancy Gilardi

Jimmy was a great friend when we were kids. We shot BB guns together, camped out and swiped soda out of the gas station on the corner at night. I remember the time he almost lit his house on fire with a can of ether and a match. He was very smart and was always experimenting with things. I'll alway remember and miss him. My condolences to his family.

I remember Jimmy as one of the unique personalities that made up the the collection of Everett/Blossom street kids. At anytime, we could end up together, playing in the street, building something or many other of the mischievious things that took place during childhood. My memories are fond and though I have not seen or spoken with him, Jim seemed to have never changed. RIP Buddy.
