I work at mcdonalds in rockland and I would see Jim everyday besides the days he was on the road for business. We would sit there and talk for 10 mins in the drive thru every morning and just talk about life and what was going on with him this week I love him with all my heart he was the best guy and he made me want to be more then just someone working at Mcdonalds. Whenever Jim and Bev would come in a would always tell him I loved them so much and I truly did. He always talked about his kids and grandkids to me telling how he just loved spending his free time at home with his family. Jim had the biggest heart I could see right threw him, always worrying about everyone else in his life. I am truly blessed to have known him as long as I have! I will always have an imprint of him in my heart for the rest of my life. To his family and his amazing loving wife i am here for you always. He was one of a kind there is no one that i will ever meet like him again <3 love Katelyn

Jim hired me for Augat and I worked for him briefly after they were acquired by Thomas & Betts. Jim also recommended me for another position after the Sanford plant announced it's closing. I ran into Jim recently when he audited the company I currently work for. I will remember Jim as an honest, gregarious and generous man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed.

Played many rounds of golf with him and I enjoyed his company. My thoughts and prayers to his family and the Town of Rockland.

Beverly, Sorry to get the late news but I wanted to take a moment to let you know of my sorrow. I had the pleasure of working with Jim a number of times this past several years on behalf of Intertek. I genuinely enjoyed working with the big guy. Jim was always very positive and a great source of knowledge. I used Jim for a sounding board many times. I'll certainly miss the professional association we shared during this short time, however I'll miss the humor and the tales even more. My best to you and the family. Thank you for sharing Jim with us in the aerospace family at Intertek.

Jay Simpson was a man's man. He was the true definition of humble, strength restrained. He taught me many things after he waited for me to stop talking. He fought all battles with courage and dignity and he was graceful in victory and jovial in defeat. He excelled in all areas of manhood, a loving family man, a loyal friend, an honest politician and a successful business man. His words of wisdom during his battle with cancer with live on with me forever. His graciousness and appreciation for the sanctity of life as he overcame the dreaded disease was inspirational and we all rejoiced in his full recovery as he appeared healthy and happy. So sorry for your loss. You are all in our prayers.
