James Edward Farrell, 71, of Rockland died at The Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston on September 16, 2016, after a period of failing health. He was born in Boston son of the late Edward, and Grace (Kane) Farrell.

James was the Husband of Margaret E. (Palermo) Farrell of Rockland. Father of Anthony Farrell and his Wife Brandie of NV, and the late Victoria M. Champagne, and her Husband David of Scituate. Brother of Edwina "Bonnie" Harris of Braintree, Sally Furlong of Weymouth, Grace Liddell of Plymouth, Barbara Garland of Weymouth, and the late William Farrell, Dennis Farrell, and Marc Farrell. Brother in Law of, Anthony P. Palermo and his Wife Jan of Abington, and Donna M. Palermo of Arizona. Also survived by 6 Grandchildren.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street, Rockland, MA. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday September 23, 2016 at 11:30 AM. Services will be followed by cremation.
