Obituary For James D. Kendall

James D. Kendall, of Groton died on Thursday evening April 10, 2008 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a prolonged illness. He was born in Boston, son of the late Helen (Johnson) and Albert Kendall. James was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Kendall worked in the printing industry for many years even serving a term as President of the Brockton Printers Union. During his career in printing he worked in several different places and in several different capacities. He worked for Rumford Litho in Abington, Merchants Press in Boston, Pride Printers in Woburn, and United Lithograph in Somerville. James also worked for King Printing in Lowell for several years before he retired in 1999. Recently, Mr. Kendall was a volunteer with the Shine Program in Groton. James enjoyed bird watching, walking his beloved family dog Blaze, and especially spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife Eileen(McCarthy)Kendall. Brother of Albert Kendall of Millis, Nancy Lynch, Sandy Morini, Judy Costa all of Florida, and Kathy Ireland of Worcester. Also survived by his Uncle Ernie Johnson and his family, as well as many other loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, on Tuesday April 15th at 11:00 AM. Calling Hours will be held on Monday April 14th from 5-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave Suite 2 Norwood MA 02062.
