Obituary For James D. Crockett

James D. Crockett, 22 of Rockland, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2016. He was born on January 8, 1994 to Katherin Crockett of Rockland. He was raised and educated in Rockland where he attended Holy Family School, Memorial Park and Rogers Middle School. James studied computer information technology and was a graduate of the South Shore Vocational Technical School as part of the class of 2012. He studied business with a concentration in sports management at Massasoit Community College and later at Bridgewater State University. James has worked for the Harrington Bros. Company for the past two years.

A lover of sports, James played baseball and was the captain of his high school hockey team during his senior year. He was the president of the BSU Hockey Club where he organized team fundraising. James was part of the HUG Foundation Softball League, Rockland Town Baseball League, South Shore Eagles Hockey, NECDL Hockey and the Breakers Junior Hockey.

In addition to his mother, James will be missed by his Grandparents Daniel J. and Ann L. (Kennedy) Crockett of Rockland and his longtime girlfriend Julia Erin Driscoll of Rockland. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate his life on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland, from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:30 AM, in The Trinity Episcopal Church, 3 Goddard Ave. in Rockland. Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery in Rockland, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the James D. Crockett Scholarship Fund at Rockland Federal Credit Union, 241 Union St. Rockland, MA 02370.
