Obituary For Jacqueline Eramo

We are sad to announce the passing of Jacqueline Eramo, 86, of Abington Ma on Tuesday April 9, 2024 surrounded by her family. Better known as Jackie, she was the devoted wife of the late Richard "Dick" Eramo.

Jackie was born in South Berwick, ME to the late Bernard and Albina Lajoie, Jackie grew up in Bradford, Ma with her late brother Roy Lajoie of Plaistow NH. During her time in Bradford, Jackie attended and graduated from St. James high school.

After meeting her husband and marrying in 1956, they started their family and eventually settled in Rockland, Ma in 1971. During her 40 years in Rockland, Jackie, along with her husband Richard co-founded the Sons of Italy in 1975 where she held multiple secretarial positions as well as helped run their bingo.

She enjoyed their weekly dance nights and was always dressed to impress. Not only was she an excellent Bocce player and bowler, having won many awards, but she was also an avid gambling enthusiast. Jackie was proud to be a wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.

Apart from being a homemaker, Jackie worked for the South Weymouth Naval Air station before she retired in 1997.

She is survived by her children Richard Eramo Jr, Deborah Erwin, Gerard Eramo, Michelle Alongi, her grandchildren Justin, Anthony, Melissa, and Noel, as well as her great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family only on April 16,2024 at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home in Rockland, MA followed by a Funeral Mass held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Hanover at 9:00 am where friends and loved ones are welcomed to come celebrate Jackie's life.
