Obituary For Henry R. Ceurvels

Henry Roy Ceurvels, 79 of Rockland, passed on May 10, 2018 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was born on April 15, 1939 in Boston to the late Henry and Robina (Lannigan) Ceurvels. He was raised and educated in South Boston and was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Kehoe) Ceurvels.

Mr. Ceurvels served his country as an enlisted member in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart and moved to Rockland in 1963 where he and Mary Ann raised their five children. He was an avid fisherman and competed in the Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass Fishing Derby. Henry was a retired truck driver and a 40 year proud member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the Rockland Jaycees and the Rockland Democratic Town Committee. He was a Patriots fan but his real love was the New York Giants. He enjoyed vacationing with his children and grandchildren at the beach and watching the Red Sox with his wife of 58 years.

Along with his wife, Henry leaves behind his children and their spouses; Michael & Karen Ceurvels of Rockland, Lisa & Ron Nannie of Illinois, John & Tina Ceurvels of Rockland, Gesina & Dave Noun of Rockland and William Brennan of Taunton. He was the grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his brother Arthur Ceurvels and late sister Gail Spinney as well as several nieces and nephews. Henry is now reunited with his beloved daughter, Jayne Ceurvels Brennan.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Henry's life on Monday May 14, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PMat the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Rockland.

    Dear Mary Ann and family, Hank was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humor and strength of character carried him far in this life. We will all sorely miss him. Rest in peace Hank and give Jayne a big hug from all of us.

    I will miss you Hank. We may have talked only a few times a year but we always could pick up right where we left off. I'm glad we talked last week. These are the times I hate living in Florida.
