Obituary For Hazel "Carol" Brady

Hazel R. Brady, "Carol" 82, of Rockland, passed away with her loved ones by her side on May 6, 2019. She was born in Belmont, Daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Oteri) Kirkwood.

Carol was raised and educated in Weymouth. She loved to cook and to play cards. She also loved her white Cadillac's and they were easily identified by her "CBRADY" license plates. Carol was a former home daycare provider and was a foster parent to many children. She was the former owner of Olympic Pizza and The Venture Lounge in Weymouth.

Hazel was the Mother of William J. Brady and his long time girlfriend Rachel Fahey of Rockland, Patrick Brady and his Wife Cynthia of Whitman, Vicki Christenson and her Husband Dean of Rockland, Nancy Nix Newell and her Ex-Husband Leslie of Rockland, Richard Nix and his Wife Melissa of Plympton, the late George "Buzzy" Nix and his Wife Connie Nix-Dabek of Weymouth. Sister of the late Richard Kirkwood, Clifford Johnson, and Judy Johnson. Grandmother of Jessi Nix-Crimmins, Bryanna Nix-Shaw, Amanda Nix-Gendron, Jennifer Newell, Courtney Newell, Eric Newell, Amy Christenson Iliesh Christenson, Josh Nix, Ben Nix, Zack Nix, Lexi Prioli and Emmi Brady. Also survived by many Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog Brady.

The Brady family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Carol's life on Monday at 9:00 AM the Holy Family Church Rockland. Burial will follow in The Holy Family Cemetery.
