Obituary For Harvey I. Young

Harvey I. Young, 77 of Rockland died on May 1, 2017 at the South Shore Hospital after being stricken suddenly. He was born in Brockton, son of the late Louis and Rose (Rosen) Young and was raised and educated there. He has made his home in Rockland for over 50 years.

Mr. Young had a long career with the Teamsters Union having been a driver for Anderson-Pierce Trucking Company in Abington. He had been a member of the Polish Club in Abington and the Rockland Aerie of Eagles.

Husband of the late Jean E. (Medico) Young who died in 1976, he is survived by his children, Robert A. Young and his wife Julie of Hull, Jeffrey A. Young and his wife Vanessa of Rockland and Michael J. Young and his wife Theresa of Hanover. He was the grandfather of Nicole M. Young, Nicholas C. Newcomb, Michael A. Young, Benjamin J. Young, Joseph C. Young, Emily R. Young, Abigail G. Young, Allison L. Jarmanning and Chas R. Manning. Also surviving is his longtime friend Peggy MacDonald of Whitman.

A visitation will be held at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street Rockland on Friday May 5, 2017 from 10:00 until a Funeral Service that will commence at 11:30 AM. A Graveside Service will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
