Obituary For Gregory J. Byron
Gregory James Byron, 38 of Whitman. Died unexpectedly on April 2, 2018. Greg was born on February 3, 1980 in Brockton to James and Nancy (Richards) Byron. He was raised and educated in Rockland and was a graduate of the Rockland High School class of 1999.
Greg was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He later worked as a foreman for Fire Resistant Solutions for the past seven years. He was a sensitive soul who loved spending time with his family and friends who were more like brothers to him. Greg loved going to the gym and riding his motorcycle. He was a talented writer who had a wonderful comedic side to him.
Along with his parents, Greg will be dearly missed by his sister Kelley Timmons of Whitman. He leaves behind his son Marcus Byron, step-son Dominic Brewer and their mother Amy Brewer of Abington. He was the loving uncle to Grace Timmons of Whitman. Greg will be remembered by all of his aunts, uncles and cousins.

I was very sad to hear of Greg's passing so unexpectedly, and at such a young age. It seems like only yesterday that he was clowning around in the halls of Rockland High School. He was one of my favorite students in journalism and I am sorry that the world has lost such a bright light. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Man, no words. I'm stunned.
We didn't hang out in the same social circles since you were a class behind me in high school. But I remembered being in the drama club, getting ready to go out on stage. I remembered you were part of the tech crew and I remembered as I was getting ready to head on stage, you said get psyched, get pumped and do your thing, man.
While that might seem like a throwaway memory, it was one of the brighter spots of my high school year. We didn't know each other well before or after as we were acquaintances but we were friendly with each other. The obituary has you described perfectly as a sensitive soul. You were a nice boy Greg and you had a kind heart. My condolences to your family. -
