Obituary For Gertrude Treannie

Gertrude "Tina" (Cina) Treannie, of Rockland January 27, 2007 Age 94. Widow of George F. Treannie. Mother of Ann D. Maul of Abington, Marie G. Hayden of Wisconsin and George G. Treannie of Pembroke. Sister of Salvatore J. Cina of Rockland, Vera Duguay of NH and the late Matthew Cina, Josephine Topal and Joseph Cina. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Wednesday, January 31st at 8:15 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in Holy Family Church at 9:00 AM. Calling Hours were on Tuesday, January 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations may be made to the Activity Fund c/o South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, 115 North Avenue Rockland, MA 02370. Mrs. Treannie died on Saturday, the day after her 94th birthday, at the South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Are Center after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Anthony and Grazia (Maltese) Cina and was raised and educated in Roxbury. She has made her home in Rockland since 1951. Tina had been employed for over twenty-five years a stitcher at the former F. L. & J. C. Codman Co. in Rockland before her retirement at age 85. She was a Communicant of Holy Family Church in Rockland and was a member of the Venezia Lodge, Sons of Italy in Rockland. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
