Obituary For Gerhard "Greg" George Oberle

Gerhard "Greg" George Oberle III 27, passed peacefully on November 13, 2015. Greg was the son of the late Gerhard "Gary" Oberle Jr., and grandson of the late Gerhard George Oberle Sr. He is survived by his mother Donna (Ryan) Oberle of Hanson, his siblings Julianne (Oberle) Tauscher and her husband Aaron of Southampton, Kaitlyn Oberle of Scituate, Jennifer Oberle of Hanson, and his brother and best friend James Oberle of Hanson. He was also fortunate to be survived by his devoted grandparents, Robert and Rena Ryan, of Pembroke and Anne Oberle of Revere. While living the good life over the past year, Greg proudly joined his family in celebrating the birth of his nephew, Owen Gerhard Tauscher. He is also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Greg was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School, Class of 2006. He was a skilled athlete and excelled at all sports. His particular passion was hockey, spending many hours on the ice, where some of his best friendships were forged. Greg was also a lover of many outdoor activities. He enjoyed snowboarding, motocross, jet skiing and spent many summers camping with family and friends at Point Sebago in Maine. As a child he quickly rised the ranks in martial arts training, gaining a black belt. Greg also loved playing poker at Foxwoods. Greg attended Plymouth State University with a focus in Business. He had currently been employed at Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Pembroke while actively pursuing the completion of his Bachelor's degree. His family felt immense pride, as they watched him grow and succeed, particularly over the last year. He made marked efforts on working towards his goals and spending time with his family. All who loved Greg are asked to join us to celebrate his life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home for visiting hours from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson. For directions or to share a memory on his "Tributes" page, visit www.magounbiggins.com. The Oberle Family would like to remind everyone that all who wander are not lost and that each struggle can be over come. We kindly ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Learn to Cope. Donna: Uncle Jim and I are so sorry for your loss. To lose one's child, no matter what the age is an unbearable task. But you should be proud of your sons's accomplishments, and be content in the knowledge that you did the best any mother can do to raise your children on your own for all these years, after the death of your beloved husband. You and your family are in in our prayers. Love Linda & Jim Hennebury
