Obituary For Gerald A. Pratt

Gerald A. Pratt, 64 of Mansfield died on January 3, 2010 at the Brockton VA Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was born in Brockton son of the late Austin Pratt and Doris (Brown) Pratt of Halifax. He was raised and educated in Abington and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired 20 years ago as a designer with Subco Research Co. in W. Bridgewater. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Anzivino) Pratt. He was the father of Sharon E. Trojano, Mathew A. Pratt and Allan M. Pratt of W. Bridgewater, Christopher A. Pratt of VT and Lydian Coombs and Curtis A. Pratt of ME. He was the step-father to Marion G. Tedeschi and Kenneth E. Tedeschi, Jr. of Rockland and Kelly E. Brown and Kevin E. Tedeschi of Abington. Also surviving are his brothers Robert Pratt of Halifax and Kenneth Pratt of Whitman, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:15 A.M. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to F.I.R.S.T. 1364 Welsh Rd. G2, N. Wales PA. 19454. Please note in memo section of check “Jenna Pratt/EHK Research.�

    Uncle Jerry, I remember the firecrackers and eating lobster in Brewster at Hopkins Cottages and all the great fun that our families had in Brewster. We will miss you. Thank you for your service to our country. Rest in Peace. Our sincerest condolences to the family for their loss.
