We are feeling blessed today to have had the pleasure of knowing and feeling the love of George Crane and his beautiful family. He always greeted you with a smile and had such a positive way about him (except of course when he was losing at cards) Grandpa was a true inspiration, a fighter, a man who loved the Lord and his family more than anything, especially the mother of his children and beautiful wife Pat. A real role model in many many ways. Peace be with you George.

I am sorry to hear of George's passing. My late husband Ted worked at Tip Top Bread with George and we enjoyed his and Patricia's company along with their many children at various cook outs and outings over the years so long ago. He was a great man and will be missed.

Incredible testament to the integrity, faith and truth of man is the family he leads. The family of George Crane is remarkable. The quality of character in the Cranes is surely founded in the father.

  • 05/25/2021

I will always think of the Cranes' as family, because that's the way they treated me. It was great seeing Mr. and Mrs. Crane last year, and touching as they reflected on some nice times decades earlier when they and my parents (and those of other close friends) socialized a bit while Kevin and the rest of us cut our way through college. Mr. Crane was a great role model for his family/others, and Kevin obviously followed suit, both now and decades ago as a young man.

Many years ago, my brother and I attended a spring training Red Sox baseball game in W Palm Beach, FL and as I pushed his wheelchair up the ramp into the stadium, lo and behold there stood George leaning on a rail. Tom was a classmate and greeted him with a Red Sox salute and they had a great conversation. It was apparent they had not seen each other in awhile. I can recall George as an excellent basketball player and a great rebounder for the 1950 team. It is in great sadness to hear of his passing and I wish the family my deepest condolences.

When my brother came to visit today he was telling me about the impressive funeral that he had attended this morning. It was only then that I learned of the passing of your father and grandfather. I did not know him but from the members of his family that I do know I am sure that he was the wonderful man eulogized by Fr. Hickey. My thoughts and those of all the Darigan family are with you all at this time.
