Obituary For George Fucillo

George H Fucillo passed away peacefully at home with his family, just after his 99th birthday. George was awarded the Bronze Star on 12/31/1944 while a Sergeant in the 397th Army Infantry Regiment. He retired as a Sergeant for Rockland Police and also served as a Prosecutor at the Hingham District court. George liked to be outside and as many friends family and neighbors know he also loved to have a good bon fire! Dad will be greatly missed by his daughter Theresa Esposito and her husband Joseph of Rockland. His daughter Debra Adams and her husband Ron of Miramar Beach Fl; His son Charles Fucillo and his wife Robin of Taunton; “Papa” will be especially missed by his grandchildren Joseph Esposito and his wife Lynne of Kingston, Justin Esposito and his wife Katie of Rockland, Jason Adams and his wife Caitlin of San Francisco CA, Lisa Fucillo of Raynham and Christine Fucillo of Bridgewater. “GrandPapa” will be missed by all of his great grandchildren Samantha, Hunter, Sofia, Tessa, Cole and Saylor Rae

Services will be private. We ask that in lieu of flowers, a donation to be made to the Hospice of South Shore

    Papa, growing up over the years you were a man of very few words but when you spoke people listened. You're stories about the military and your years as a Rockland Police Officer were the reason I followed in your steps and became an Officer as well. You were an inspiration to my life greatly and I wish I could tell you that just one more time. Save me a space next to the bonfire! Til we meet again, you will always be remembered by Lynne, Sofia, Tessa and I. We'll take it from here Sarge!

    Papa, few people live the life out of a movie or a song and throughout my life spending time with you I have done just that. To sit next to you and listen to all your stories about your life and what you have come across in your 99 years I am forever grateful. Those talks have shaped me in to the person I am today. Every day gets a little easier but you are severely missed. May you Rest In Peace. Until I see you again, save me a seat so I can tell you about my life experiences.

    All the worrying and all the sickness is gone...we got through it <3 I know you're back with your Mom, like you always talked about. I will never forget that moment. I'm sure by now you've found Josie & Joe, Theresa & Dave and everyone else you 've reminisced about over the years too. I will miss you the most but I'll see you in every bonfire

    My Dad lived a long life and had a ton of stories to tell.... he had seen it all! I will always remember his huge smile when he found something funny. He had boundless energy and loved being outside in the sun. He will be missed by all he knew.
