Obituary For George Davis

George E. Davis, 83, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on October 16, after a period of failing health. He was surrounded with his loved ones by his side. He was born and raised in upstate New York. He was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys Davis. He is predeceased by his siblings, Robert Davis, Warner Davis, Edwin Davis, Jack Davis and Marian Boddery.

In 1962, George and his wife Betty moved to Rockland. He came to pursue a position at Franklin Publishing Company in Rockland as a pressman. He would later become part owner of that business. In 1973 he established his second business and became soul owner and president of Graphic Development Inc. in Hanover MA. He eventually retired in 2011 and was extremely proud that the company is still thriving.

George enjoyed watching old westerns, bird watching, taking care of his koi fish, antique cars and had a passion for woodworking. He was also an avid Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Davis of Hanover. His daughters Lorie Faulkner (Robert), of Abington and Susan Morrison (Robert), of Rockland. He was the loving grandfather of Jason Morrison, Kelli Henderson (Michael), Ryan Morrison, Jeremy Morrison, Alison Faulkner and Ian Faulkner. He was great grandfather to Aubree and Aria Henderson. George is going to be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, October 20 from 4-7 at Magoun-Biggins, 135 Union st Rockland MA.
