George “Georgie” Edwin Davenport Jr. 55, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024. George was born in 1968, the son of the late George E. Davenport and Bernice “Curran” Davenport. George was loved by his brother Brian Davenport of Florida, Sharon Leahy of California, his late sister Donna Libby of Maine, Joan Davenport, Jeanne O’Connor, Janet Coates of Massachusetts, Joyce Harvill of Florida, Bernice Davenport of Massachusetts, and Patricia Travis of South Carolina. He was Uncle to 19 and great Uncle to many more.

As most people know, George was paralyzed at a young age. This did not stop him from enjoying life. He graduated fromQuincy High School and attended Massasoit College. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and brother Brian. He and his sister Jeanne were competitive pool players. One of his favorite hobbies was playing cards. He loved his pet dogs and birds.
