Obituary For Genevieve J. Newhall
Genevieve Julia Newhall, beloved wife of the late Otis Alfred Newhall, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Sachem Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Brockton, MA to the late Jan and Rozalia Krukiel on May 30, 1931. Genevieve was known for her sharp wit, sense of humor and her ability to truly enjoy life. For over forty years, she split her time between Florida and Saquish Beach in Plymouth, MA. She loved arts and crafts, always crafting something new that would be on display at the cottage. Working at the dance studio in Florida where she always came back North glowing telling stories of the dancers and their performances. Genevieve was always drawn to the beach, the sun, and the simple joy of being near the water.
Genevieve especially loved her time at Saquish Beach, where she could often be found making her rounds between the front beach and various friends’ cottages, playing cards, and enjoying the day with her favorite cocktail in hand and yelling slow down to every car not taking their time to enjoy her favorite place. She always brought laughter and good company wherever she went.
She is survived by her children: Patricia A. Clark, Michele J. Ward, Karen R. Newhall, Rose M. Newhall, and Robert A. Newhall and his wife Heidi J. Newhall; along with her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her late siblings Jenny Lankiewicz, Wanda Harris, and John Krukiel.
Friends and family are invited to join the family at a service that will be held at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, followed by burial at Holy Family Cemetery on March 31st. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, with a celebration of life to follow at Stockholders Steakhouse in Weymouth, MA.
Genevieve will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her wit, her love of the beach and sunshine, and the joy she brought to those around her.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Gurenet Saquish Corporation at www.gurnetsaquishbeach.org

So so many memories ❤️ from being a little girl throughout my adulthood in Florida! She was fun and very enthusiastic about EE England sports !! She loved her family and friends. Dancing all the time. I remember as kids she and Al were in the 220 Dance Club with my parents. She danced through her 80s in Sebastian and we went to her show! Just an amazing woman ❤️❤️ she will be missed. RIP Jenny 🙏🏻
