Frederick H. Mercer, 93, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, MA on January 9, 2022.

Frederick was the Husband of the late Carolyn (Wing) Mercer. He was a loving father, and is survived by his children, Cheryl Murphy of Dennis, Carol Mercer of Rockland, Christine Mercer of Rockland, Robert Mercer and his Wife Cheryl of Pembroke, Randall Mercer and his Wife Theresa of Whitman, and the late Rodney Mercer. Brother of Catherine Basnight of NC, and the late Louise Owens, Gladys Mitchell, and Donald Mercer. Also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Grandchild.

Mr. Mercer was proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. Frederick worked as a Fireman for many years in Kinston North Carolina. He later went to work for South Shore Machine Shop in Braintree, and Dresser Industrial in Randolph. He enjoyed boating, saltwater fishing and trips to North Carolina to visit his loving family.

The Mercer family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10:30-11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pocasset Cemetery in Bourne.
