Obituary For Francis J. Hayes

Francis J. Hayes of Braintree passed away June 25, 2009 after fighting the good fight for many years. Frank was born in Boston to the late Francis J. and Josephine (Quirk) Hayes. He was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and received his Master’s degree in teaching from the former Boston Teachers College. Frank was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Manchester in World War II.

Mr. Hayes enjoyed a long career as an English teacher at Randolph Junior High School. He was a member of the American Legion and the Massachusetts and Randolph Teachers Associations.

Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife Irene (Kearns) Hayes and his daughters Ann and Sue. He was father of the late Michael F. Hayes and brother of the late Marie T. Hayes.

The family requests that you join them as they celebrate Frank’s life with a funeral Mass and reception on Tuesday June 30, 2009 at 4:00 PM at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St., Plymouth. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to Julie’s Family Learning Program, 133 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA 02127 or St. Mary’s Parish Center, 313 Court Street, Plymouth MA. 02360.
