Eugene J. Hennessy, of Falmouth formerly of Hanover, December 17, 2006 Age 90. Husband of the late Bella M. (Burnett) Hennessy. Father of Carolyn Hassett of Falmouth, Helen Maguire of Hanover, Eugene Hennessy of NH, Joan Hennessy of Plynouth, Steven Hennessy of MN and Scott Hennessy of Rockland. Brother of Theresa Briggs and Catherine Wandell of Wilmington and the late William Hennessy, Helen Sordillo and Joseph Hennessy. Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. . A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Friday, December 22nd at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church in Hanover at 10:00 AM. Calling Hours were on Thursday, December 21st from 6-8 PM. Donations may be made to the JML Care Center, 184 Ter Heun Dr. Falmouth, MA Mr. Hennessy died on Monday morning in the JML Care Center in Falmouth after a period of failing health. He was born in Boston, son of the late William and Nora (Ready) Hennessy and was raised and educated there. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Grammar School and Charlestown High School. He had made his home in Hanover since 1972 before moving to the Cape during his illness. He was a former member of the Charlestown Council, Knights of Columbus. Eugene retired in 1972 after a 35 year career as a paper handler for the Boston Record American, know known as the Boston Herald. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Hanover Center Cemetery .
