Ellen M.(Slattery) Gibbs, 79 of Rockland died at the Coyne Healthcare Facility after a period of failing health. She was born in Malden Daughter of Genevieve Slattery-Kemp and John Brides and was raised and educated in Braintree. Attending Braintree High School. Ellen was a longtime Rockland resident. She had been employed for many years as an assembler at Sigma Instrument Co. in Braintree. She was the mother of Ellen A. Gibbs-Lively of Holbrook, Mary L. Gibbs-Gagne of Plymouth, Geraldine G. Gibbs-Lucas of NC and the late Bradford T. Gibbs. Sister of Genevieve Hook of Holbrook, Joan Racine of Pittsfield and Katherine Meaney of Middleboro. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Wednesday, January 2nd at 8:15 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in Holy Family Church at 9:00 AM.
