Obituary For Ellen F. Mortimer

Ellen F. Mortimer, 69 of Rockland died on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was born in Boston daughter of the late William and Catherine (Duggan) Lutes and was later raised by her late step mother Theodora (Mucci) Lutes. She resided in Quincy in her early years. Ellen has made her home in Rockland since 1978. She had been a meat cutter at the former Howard Johnson Co. in Quincy for 14 years until its closing 16 years ago. She is survived by her husband Gary G. Mortimer and her siblings, Marie McDonald of Rockland, Ann Milligan of Weymouth, Edmund Lutes of Arlington, John Lutes of Revere, Nicholas Marino of Quincy, Thomas Marino of Michigan, Frank Marino of Texas and she was the sister of the late William Lutes. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:30 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, ROCKLAND. Calling hours will be from 5:00 8:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2009. Donations in her memory may be made to the New England Sinai Hospital, 150 York St. Stoughton, MA 02072.
