Obituary For Elizabeth McCracken

McCracken, Elizabeth A of Rockland, MA formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021. Betty was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith McCracken, sister of the late Joseph McCracken of Hingham. She is survived by four nieces, Joan, Mary, Eileen and Barbara and a nephew, Joe.

Betty retired from John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston after 40 years. After she retired from John Hancock, she worked for several years at Ashmont Chiropractic Center in Dorchester.

For the more than 30 years Betty lived in Leisurewoods where she made many treasured and devoted friends. Betty loved her home in the Leisurewoods community where she was active in the Friendship committee. Betty's canine companions gave her much joy. Julian and Julie, and now Jazzy, were well cared for and loved.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday April 16, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 S. Union Street, Rockland. The service and burial will be private. In normal times we would have a gathering to support Betty's family and friends, but in these times a gathering after the visiting hours is not possible.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Animal Rescue League
