Obituary For Elizabeth A. Kimball
Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Sutherland) Kimball, 79 of Rockland, died on March 24, 2018 at the Bridges by Epoch Nursing Facility in Hingham. She was born on June 16, 1938 in Charlestown to the late David and Martha (Hird) Sutherland. Betty was raised and educated in Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School. She was the loving wife of the late Charles V. Kimball.
Mrs. Kimball retired after many years working as an Administrative Assistant at South Shore Vocational Technical High School. Betty enjoyed playing bingo and she had a soft spot in her heart for all animals.
Betty was the loving mother of Jean Roche and her husband Stephen of Hull, Charles Kimball III and his wife Elizabeth of Rockland, Michael Kimball and his wife Terry of Avon and Lisa Kimball of Randolph. She was the sister to David Sutherland of Quincy, Carol Bahia of Billerica and the late Martha Dalton. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Molly Jones and her husband Tom of Hull and Alex Roche and his wife Guifang Xue of NH. Betty leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Betty's life on Wednesday March 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. Jeannie, Chuck, Michael and Lisa just heard of Bettys passing while talking to Debbie. So sorry for your loss kids. Betty was one of the older cousins who really didn't like us kids (Bettys words BRATS ha ha) hanging around but then when we got older she found out we weren't that bad. Everyone seem to gather at our house on the week-ends they used to say they were going to the country, back in them days Tewksbury was the country, I used to get excited in the summer when your grandparents would "RENT" the camp down the road, it gave me company for the summer. Again sorry for your loss, your Dad was a card too he used to love the clam bakes my mother and father put on. Good Memories
