Betty as she was known to our family. It was wonderful growing up right next door. My mom and her were the best of friends always sharing recipes, walking and taking wonderful care of their families. When my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's she was always giving a helping hand and watching out for my mom. Betty was a sweet and wonderful friend

I met Betty thru the generosity of her sister Eva who invited me to golf with them many times. I loved playing with the girls and didn't mind losing money for putting to them. The best of times.. Thank you for the joy you gave me Betty... Janet Warren

As life moves forward I find myself thinking more and more of the past. Growing up on central street with all my aunt's uncles and cousins the memories made are so vivid and heartwarming. I often think of how the times have changed and the kids today will never experience our youth. I visited aunt Betty and George one warm afternoon only a few short weeks ago and relived so much of those times. She will be missed by missed by many. Love to all the family Mike

George and family, We were saddened to hear of Betty's passing, but will think of her with a loving smile and remember the wonderful stories she shared with me about my grandparents as well as the lovely things they always had to say about the two of you. It was always so heartwarming to see her on the porch, giving my kids and I, a big smile and wave just as I'm sure she did to my father and aunt not all that long ago. George, please know if there is anything we can do, we are just a call away... Just like Bob and Marcia always were. Betty, thank you for being an amazing neighbor and friend to my grandparents, my father and aunt and for always being so kind to my children and I. May you rest now 🙏🏻❤️

Much loved mother-in-law, I had you only for a short time. I'll miss our sessions at the kitchen table enjoying Vino Verde and macaroons, and laughing out butts off. Rest well Betty. Love you

Your wife, Mom and grandmother was a special women. She and my Mom were friends since the start of their working together at SS Hospital. (She also was the labor and delivery nurse when I was born) Her kindness and care in helping my Mom when she lost most of her vision will never be forgotten by me. Little drop in visits to her and George as well as random phone calls since my Mom passed away in 2017 were always uplifting. Thinking of you all these days. Hoping shared memories of her will bring comfort in the days ahead. Dwight Barefoot

Mrs Hines as I've always known and called her, was our neighborhood mom, giving out treats, my favorite was the whoopie pies, although my first sweet treat was a simple piece of bread and butter sprinkled with alittle sugar. And I still have one to this day. So many memories, Mrs Hines you made my childhood growing up very special.

George and Theresa, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Betty will be so missed. I loved talking with her and sharing sewing tips, hearing about the grandchildren, discussing Rockland past and present and any current events that we would discuss. My heartfelt condolences to your families. I feel so blessed and honored to have shared this journey with Betty.
