Obituary For Eleanor M. Kay

Eleanor M. (Smith) Kay, 95, of Pembroke, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Kingston. She was born in Boston on October 30, 1920, to her parents Ernest and Florence (Talbot) Smith. She was raised and educated in Quincy followed by living many years in Bourne. Eleanor was the loving wife to the late James M. Kay. Eleanor is survived by her children Eleanor M. Melia of Hanson, Robert J. Kay of Plymouth and Kathleen J. Lawlor of Pembroke. She was the sister of Richard Smith of Pembroke. Eleanor was the grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Eleanor worked as a programmer for the New England Telephone Company in Quincy. She was formerly employed at Raytheon in Braintree. A former resident of Hanson, Eleanor also lived for 3 years in Pembroke. Interment services will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, on Monday April 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM.
