I am saddened to learn of aunt Eleneanor's death. She was a sweet lady, very kind. My best memory goes back 30+ years ago which is when I last visited New England. I arrived a day ahead of my parents and siblings for a week on Cape Cod. Uncle Charlie and his wonderful wife put me up for a night - perhaps I should say they put up with me for a night - in their home. Of course I was restless and uncle Charlie got me pointed to the subway so I could go into Boston to mess around for the day. I kind of got distracted seeing the sights, of which there are many to see, many varieties, and wouldn't you know the subways quit running all the way out to Charlie and Eleanor's home before midnight. So I had to call uncle Charlie out of bed on that Saturday night (hmm, it was early Sunday by then) and plead mercy. He kindly picked me up at the subway station stop several miles away, dressed in his pajamas and bathrobe. The next day not a word was said, Eleanor and Charlie were both very gracious. They were a wonderful couple.

Blessings on our dear Aunt Eleanor. Never will I forget all the raucous times at Mom & Dad's (Hazel [Davis] and Sandy Santoliquido). We gave you and Uncle Charlie a chiveree when you were down for Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary because it was around the time of your Anniversary. I recall the time at Ed's place in Maine when you and Uncle Charlie fell asleep sitting on the couch with your heads together...so cute! (Until Uncle Charlie started to snore!) There was always laughter and music when we were all together, wasn't there? Give my Uncle Charlie a hug from us. We miss you both.

To the Erwin family you are in our prayers. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Loved when she would sing.

Eleanor (Mrs. Erwin to me) was a great lady, (mother), and will surely be missed. I will always remember the great times we had especially the trip Jill and I took with her to Maine to see where she grew up. Love and miss you. Sue
