Obituary For Edwina Sierra

Edwina Sierra (Lynch), 76 years, born in Boston of Whitman and formerly of Abington passed peacefully at home after a weekend filled with family.

Edwina led her family with love and devotion and her family includes son James (Jamie) and his wife Carmen of New York, NY, formerly of Quincy, daughter Laura of New York, NY, Cynthia and her husband Michael of Abington and Donald and his wife Christine of Easton. Edwina greatest joy and honor was being a loving, engaged and playful Grandmother to Caroline, Lauren, Anna, and Max all of who lived close by and made her life wonderful.
Edwina is survived by her sister and lifelong friend, Jacqueline Vanelli of Randolph and her brother-in-law, Donald (Donnie) Cedrone, of Rockland, husband of Edwina’s sister and best friend the late Eunice Cedrone. Edwina loved her nieces and nephews and they enriched her life at all stages.

Edwina was infectiously generous, loving, understanding, accepting and kind. Edwina went back to school as an adult and earned her bachelor’s and Master’s degree and competed in marathons and triathlons inspiring her children and grandchild and her family around her. Of all things, time with her children, and her grandchildren brought her the greatest sense of peace, happiness, and fulfillment.

Edwina made the lives of anyone who knew her better and lighter—she was the example of who to be in the world and the love that mattered most.
Services for Edwina will be by invitation.

  • Condolences to the family. Though we did not know her that long, she always shared a hello when we would pass her on her walks with her dog gracie. And sometimes she would stop and talk. We will miss her. Dean & Donna White - Auburnville Village

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with your beautiful family. Lots of conversations and laughs with a very special friend. Our back deck talks were special. Marie and Derek Mariani E-3
