Obituary For Edward F. Kimball

Edward F. Kimball Sr., of Rockland age 75 passed away suddenly on November 13th after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.

Proud husband, father, and grandfather "Big Ed" as he was fondly known to all and "Grampy" to his 26 grandchildren, especially Evan, and his 5 great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy "Tootie" (Gilmore), his sons Edward & his wife Dawn, Timothy, Daniel & wife Teresa, David, Sean all of Rockland, Steven & wife Brenda of Whitman, his daughter Suzanne "Susan" & Husband Tim Baker of Yarmouth, his brother Sonny, his sisters Pat and Dottie all of Maine, predeceased sister Honey, many nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping in Maine, boating, riding his Harley and playing his lottery tickets. He always made new friends wherever he went.

The family is hosting a "Big Ed" celebration of life on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 1-4 p.m. at The Rockland Golf Course, 276 Plain Street, Rockland and invite family and friends. Please dress casually.

Cremation with private burial will follow at a later date. The Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.

My heart goes out to the entire Kimball clan. Uncle Eddie was so very proud of each and every one of you. I'm so glad he loved Maine so much because we got to see him and catch up on everyone through him. He was a wonderful man that lived life how it should be. Rip uncle Eddie .

I always enjoyed spending time with my uncle Eddie when he came to Maine. He would always make time to spend time with my Dad. I think the reason he was my favorite uncle, was because he had same demeanor as my Dad. They were so much alike in personality sweet, loving, kind. I will miss seeing him, but I know he is with my Dad now sitting around talking about their lives family, wives, and children, and especially talking about Maine.
