Obituary For E. Bradley Ladd
E. Bradley Ladd, 73, of Rockland MA passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2019. Born in Quincy MA on August 8, 1946 to the late Doris (Babcock) Ladd and Edmund C. Ladd, he was raised and educated in Braintree MA graduating from Braintree High School with the class of 1964. Early in his career he worked for Franklin Publishing Company and then as Circulation Manager for The Boston Globe. He moved to Rockland in 1972 and pursued his dream of owning his own business. His lifelong love of automobiles helped him achieve his goal when he opened E.B. Ladd Auto Supply Inc. in 1981. For 38 years he loved serving the community and interacting with people by sharing his knowledge, experience and advice as well as offering to help whenever and however he could. He will be remembered for his humor, wit and sarcasm which were almost as great as his stubbornness and one-liners delivered with a grin.
Brad had a passion for Auto Racing, attending events at New England Dragway, going to car shows, watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox games and his beloved Johnny Cash.
Brad is survived by his older brother Douglas and wife Kathy of Middleboro; younger brother Richard and wife Cheryl of Brownville Maine; His son James Ladd of Middleboro; daughters Jeanette Hull of Plymouth; Susan Ladd Velat of Middleboro; Karen Ladd of Rockland and son Patrick Ladd of Los Angeles CA. He was the proud Grandpa of Andrew, Jessica, Elizabeth, Connor, Justin, Jakob, and Callum as well as Great-Grandpa to McKenna. He was also a loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes friends and family to Magoun-Biggins funeral home to celebrate his life on Saturday December 21, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm. Private services to follow.
