Obituary For Dorothy M. Salvucci

Dorothy M. (Pratt) Salvucci, 90 of Rockland died on November 23, 2015 at her home surrounded and cared for by her loving family. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Bertha (Perrault) Pratt, she had been a lifelong resident of the town.

Mrs. Salvucci was a graduate of Rockland High School where she was a cheerleader and basketball player. She remained active throughout her life enjoying, bowling, tennis, biking and Swimming. She had been a member of the Holy Family Mother's Club.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Daniel Salvucci and their children, Daniel R. Salvucci and his girlfriend Maureen Perkins of Halifax, Marie L. Cresswell of Braintree, Richard Salvucci and his wife Marguerite of FL, Theresa A. Mitchell and her husband Steven of Rockland, Paul M. Salvucci of Rockland, John J. Salvucci of Orange and Jean M. Guerini and her husband Joseph of Pembroke. She was the sister of the late Robert and Edward Pratt and is also survived by her sister in law Constance Pratt of Duxbury, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy's family would like to invite relatives and friends to join them as they celebrate her life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street, Rockland on Friday November 27, 2015 from 4:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00am on Saturday November 28, 2015 at the Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Rockland Education Foundation, P.O. Box 764, Rockland, MA 02370.

    Our heartfelt condolences to the Salvucci Family. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Salvucci growing up from being our Blue Bird troop leader, her delicious congo bars, to my road trip to Baltimore with her and Mr. Salvucci for Jean's graduation. We always looked forward to seeing her at the many Guerini celebrations through the years. Many your wonderful memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
