My Grammy.... I miss her every day. I know that she is in a better place now, because the world she lived in towards the end was so tough for her. She is an amazing human being. I remember staying summers with her going to Vacation Bible School. I also will never forget how her and I would laugh constantly about our clumsiness. People used to think I was her daughter, because she looked so young and she even had her beautiful black hair until she passed. I love her forever and am sorry for everyone else's loss. Gram, you are in my heart forever. "Lights will guide you home..." (Coldplay, "Fix You")

Sweet memories of Dottie flood my thoughts along with sadness of her passing. Dottie was a "Spiritual Mom" to all who knew her. She was in love with Jesus, her family, her friends, and her music. Dottie "Glorified the Lord in all she did, and said, and was an inspiration to all those around her. After moving to Florida 18 years ago, Dottie sent me 24 Scripture verses she cut out from different sources. I placed them where I could read them often (in a photo album that my family put together for us before we left). My grandchildren love to look at the pictures, and when they come to the last three pages they say "Nanny, What's this? I tell them, "These are little notes from God, that a friend sent to me." One of these verses I think Dottie must have read every day, and let it be an example to live by -. "Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her; and happy is every one that retaineth her. " Proverbs 3:16-18 I will always remember Dottie, and she will continue to inspire me. My prayers are with Bob, family and friends. May He bless you with comfort, peace, and sweet sweet memories. Love, Nancy Pizzelli

All I will ever remember of you Aunt Dottie was the love and kindness you had for EVERYONE. I have never met anyone so kind and loving. You never had a bad thing to say about anyone and you were always interested in what was going on for those around you. You had so many talents which can not all be put to word but you skills with the piano I will also remember. I love you and will miss you greatly. I will see you very soon. Love in Christ's name, Beth

I was lucky enough to take piano lessons with Dottie. I will always remember sitting at her piano on Monday nights. Thank you for sharing your love of music and your talent with me. I will see you again someday. Until then, I know you'll be making music in heaven.

There are so many memories, I can't even begin to choose one that stands out. Mama and Papa Poore have always been just that, Mama and Papa. I think my kids were some of the first ones that Mama let Patti babysit for way back when. We did take a trip to the mountains in NH many years ago and I remember how much fun we had and how much Mama loved the mountains. We went and looked at an old dilapidated hotel, with the hopes of going in as a foursome and fixing it up as a business. Well that obviously didn't happen but it was a fun trip anyway. She taught me not to be afraid of letting my voice be heard when singing praises to God. She fell in love with my grandson Michael (and about a million other kids) when he was sick. I have pictures of him sitting on her lap and just banging away at the keys of the piano (with her encouragement). And now, I'm sure is again sharing the joy of her music with him in heaven. I cannot even put into words how much I will miss her. Thank God in heaven, we'll get to spend eternity together. Wait for us Mama. I love you.

Dottie, to me, was always a wonderful example of what a Christian Woman should be. She was passionate about Jesus. It was obvious in her smile, her music, her love for people and how she spoke of Jesus as a friend with such ease and joy. I have always felt blessed for having Dottie in my life and the world will be a poorer place for her passing And I thank God that I will see her again in Heaven where even God delights in her presence.

I am sorry to hear of Dottie's passing. What a wonderful woman and lovely neighbor. I remember her bright smile and kind heart---- welcoming us into the neighborhood with a lovely date nut bread. Dottie and Bob had a special thing and my thoughts go out to Bob who has lost his soul mate. His faith in God and promise of everlasting life will be a comfort. Her love of music lives on in many and she will be truly missed. With Peace, Regina, Mike, Ryan and Jared Quirk

No words could ever describe a person of such beauty, grace and love. Dottie truly was a saint who not only loved the Lord, but put that love into action through the way she cared for and loved those around her. She led me to the Lord many years ago and, had it not been for the grace of God and the love of Bob & Dottie - who always were my 'parents in the Lord' - I wouldn't be where I am today. We'll miss you, Dottie; but rejoice that one more has joined that 'great cloud of witnesses' above! Until we meet again. I love you!
