My condolences to the children and families of your Mom. She must have been a remarkable person as well as your Dad who I knew also,in having raised such a nice family as yours. I know John, Dottie, Peggy, and Cathy somewhat but I'm a little to old to have knoiwn the rest of her children personally. What I do know is that those I do know are very nice and am sure that all the other children must be also. Again sorry for your family's loss

My deepest sympathy to the entire Loughlin family. Dottie was my dearest friend. My heart is sad and heavy with the grief of losing her. Dottie has left me with wonderful memories. Our crazy rides to work and home, girls weekends away, dances in the back of a taxi. I know she is still laughing, you could always bring humor into any situation. Jim and I will miss you dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

As I sit here thinking of my Loughlin family and knowing how difficult it is to say goodbye to a mother, I think about my own mother who left us a year ago on her 83rd birthday August 11, 2016. To say losing our Mom's is surreal is an understatement. Now to lose a woman who I considered my second Mom is again surreal. But as my Daddy always said, No one gets out of here alive a statement that is oh so true. I also think about the song I wrote If I Died Tomorrow and the verse that say's We never know how many lives we touch until they all come to say goodbye. Today, Sunday July 30 & tomorrow July 31 Mama L will see just how many lives she has touched. You were a woman who gave a piece of your heart to everyone who walked through your door. You have left an impression on me that I have carried with me my entire life. You had once met two of my boyfriends and told me they were not good enough for me and that I deserved better. You were right, so they got kicked to the curb haha. I learned to be a great hostess because of you and love to throw parties just to see people smile and laugh. I also learned from you to clean up the house before you go to bed so you don't have to deal with the mess the next day. I'm grateful I got to see you last year and got my final hug from you as I didn't think I would be back in MA again after losing my Mom. I'm also grateful that you and John C got to see me sober, now 24years. I only hope that I can touch as many lives as you have with your wit, sarcasm, laughter and love for all those you met. You raised an amazing family who will carry on your legacy of laughter and love. I must say again Mama L, rest in Peace, Love and warm ocean breezes. Hawaii see's the final sunset of the day so I will cast flowers into the ocean at sunset tomorrow in a traditional Hawaiian send off in your honor to bid you a final farewell. Always in my heart, love Sue K.

To says she was a good mother-in-law does not begin to describe this amazing women. We both loved the same man in very different ways. She as his mother and me as his wife. I've know Dot since I was 17 years old and my love for her grew every year. I envied the loving relationship she had with my father-in-law John C. I witnessed the unconditional love she gave all her children, grandchildren, great grand child, and great great grandchildren. I admired her courage and determination to be independant after lossing her husband. I will miss our loving bantering and find peace in knowing she did it her way. Rest in peace my sweet second mother.

Going forward, whenever I think of Mrs. Loughlin I'll remember her as the matriarch of a large loving family as well as the closeness and devotion to one another that she inspired within her family. These bonds are testimony to the wonderful woman she was and to the legacy of love she has left behind. Rest in peace Mrs. Loughlin; I pray that your family will find comfort in the memories of times spent with you and in the knowledge you are reunited with your beloved husband - John C.

To my second family, my love and prayers are with you all at this time. I have so many fond memories of Mama L from her famous Christmas Eve parties to her letting me sleep in on Sunday mornings while she woke everyone else up for church or chores. I will always think of you when I pick up that jar of Claussen pickles, that I got addicted to at your house. Thank you for always picking up an extra jar for me and thank you for the many nights of just talking and laughing. You were a shining light in this world and I'm sure your star will shine the brightest in heavens skies. Big kisses to Papa L and Aunt Gertie. Rest in Peace, Love and warm ocean breezes. Love you always, one of your many stray kids Sue K.
